Settings are HOST 192.168.0.91 (slave address) Port 502, I have tried both ptUDP and ptTCP, Timeout 3000 and retry 5000 I have a Modbus TCP driver component with its comms port pointing to the above TCP_UDPPort componet And I have a tag component with its protocol property pointing to the above ModbusTCP component. With the PAscalSCADA I have a form with a TCP_UDPPort on it. Are there an examples or suggestions you can point me to? However I am unable to find an example I can use to see what components I have to use to simply get a value back from the PLC SLave device. Normaly I use Delphi but the components I use there are not able to handle modbus addresses like 400001 so went to my Lazarus stuff and started playing with PascalSCADA.
I am having a bit of trouble looking for a Modbus component that I can communicate to plc hardware via TCP/IP. In order to use one of the four Modbus protocols, the desired Modbus protocol flavour class has to be instantiated.
